Cephas Innovation brings Cans for the Community to the Internet
Cephas Innovation became involved with Cans for the Community directly after the organization was founded, offering to build and maintain the website as well as provide all necessary software and licensing free of charge to the organization.
DENVER — January 03, 2006 — Cephas Innovation, an information technology and business consulting firm, announced today the completion of a website for local charity Cans for the Community.
Cephas Innovation became involved with Cans for the Community directly after the organization was founded, offering to build and maintain the website as well as provide all necessary software and licensing free of charge to the organization. The website, residing at www.cansforthecommunity.org, provides visitors with general information about the charity, important news, events calendar, and information on the most recent recipients of donations by the organization to other non-profit organizations. Cans for the Community staff members have complete access to update most of the site, allowing them to maintain a fresh wealth of information available to their donors, volunteers, and new visitors. The site has already received thousands of visits in the past few weeks since launching and is expecting much more traffic as it’s officially launched.
Cephas Innovation president Scott Bideau had been looking for an organization in the Lawrence area to get involved with, and is pleased to find such a worthwhile partnership. “One of the primary reasons I founded this firm is to give back to the community. In addition to monetary donations, it’s always a pleasure to donate our services and expertise to organizations because it allows us to form worthwhile relationships with those individuals and directly witness how our assistance is valued.”

Formed in May of 2005, Cans for the Community is a non-profit organization providing financial support to other non-profit organizations in Douglas County, Kansas and surrounding communities by recycling aluminum beverage containers. Cans for the Community volunteers collect aluminum cans for recycling from businesses, apartment complexes, community recycling drop-off bins, and at local events such as KU football games.
